Lafayette, LA - A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette for Dr. Nathan Landry, age, 67, who passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at his residence in Lafayette.
Private Inurnment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery in Milton.
Reverend Ravi Jampangi will be the Celebrant of the Memorial Mass and officiate the services.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Robbie Landry; two children, Melissa Regan and her husband Jeff and Caroline Welty and her husband Ryan; six grandchildren, Grant Regan, Luke Regan, Ellie Regan, Owen Welty, Anna Welty, and Abigail Welty; mother, Laurence C. Landry; three sisters, Natalie Lovett and her husband Kenneth, Nancy Tardiff, and Nanette Talbot.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Landry; and mother-in-law, Shirley Landry.
Dr. Nathan Landry was a caring and skilled physician who dedicated his life to helping others. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he studied from 1975 to 1979. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans in 1983.
Following medical school, Dr. Landry completed his internship and residency at E.A. Conway Memorial Hospital in Monroe, Louisiana. He became Board Certified in Family Practice and was a proud member of both the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practitioners.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Landry was known as a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working on yard projects and always had the right tool for the job. He had a love for blacksmithing and took great pride in his craft. Dr. Landry especially loved spending time with his family and treasured every moment with his grandchildren. He found peace and joy at his camp, surrounded by nature.
Dr. Landry will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and love for both his family and his patients.
Urnbearer will be Jeff Regan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Welty, Grant Regan, Luke Regan, and Owen Welty.
A Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:30 AM in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 10:30 AM until time of services in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dr. Nathan Landry's name to Catholic Charities of Acadiana, P.O. Box 3177 Lafayette, LA 70502.
