Lafayette, Louisiana - Allie Fedelia LaGrone Dickerson was born on July 14, 1935 and had a permanent address change on October 17, 2025 at 90 years old.

Allie was born in Deadwood, Texas to farmers and Pastor Jeff David And Oleat LaGrone. She married Larry Dickerson, whom she had known her whole life, in 1956. Allie and Larry moved to Baton Rouge so Larry could finish college at LSU and then moved to New Orleans where they welcomed their son, Mason, in 1958. From there, they moved to Lafayette where she lived until her death.

Allie had many beautiful qualities. She was an incredible artist, capturing the beauty of East Texas and South Louisiana on canvas.

She was a faithful woman of prayer and she and Larry helped build many churches and supported many evangelists and missionaries over their 69 years of marriage.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was an excellent cook and her home was a beautiful example of her love for antiques and estate sales.

She loved her family the most. She is survived by her husband Larry, her son, Mason, her daughter-in-law Colleen, grandchildren Allyson and Halley (Nathan) Hulsman, and her great granddaughters Juliette, and Genevieve. These all brought her the most joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jeff David and Oleat LaGrone and 9 siblings: J.D., James, Claudia Leigh, Conway, Garland, Jimmy, Lucille, Jeff, and Curtis.

Visitation at 1:00 followed by a celebration of life service immediately after at 2:00 pm on October 25 at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Carthage, Texas.
